Three students from the Pre-Professional Divison traveled to Beijing China from August 2- August 11 to compete in the Fourth Annual China IBCC. IBCC is an international competition officially designated by the Ministry of Culture of China, supported by the Beijing Municipal Government, and hosted by the National Centre for Performing Arts
The goal is to select promising ballet dancers and excellent choreographers, and to further promote international exchanges . This prestigious
competition consisted of three rounds. The preliminary round was via video audition sent in to the IBCC jury panel who selected an elite group of men and women from each division. The semi- final round took place in Beijing China where each competitor performed two classical variations and one modern piece. Avery Tessmer and Sophie Miklosovic both competed in the Junior B Category, and Michelle Chaviano competed in the Senior Category. The level of competition was impressive and the experience gained was invaluable. Sophie Miklosovic was selected to the final round where she performed an additional two Classical variations. Sophie received The Morning Star Foundation Award at the final awards presentation. Congratulations to all three young ladies on their accomplishments.

Congratulations t those three students who have traveled along China in order to show their talents and skills. Your parents must be really proud of you guys. I have never thought that this kind of practice is very important and could leave big impact to the viewers. I hope that young generations will appreciate dancing too. Any genre of dancing a good exercise for both the body and mind of an individual. According to studies, dancing can help us to release stress.

I recently had the pleasure of reading your fascinating blog post on The Art of Classical Ballet, where you shared the incredible journey of students who had the opportunity to experience China and its rich cultural heritage. I was captivated by their experiences and the transformative impact that this trip had on their artistic growth and personal development. I wanted to take a moment to express my admiration and celebrate their remarkable journey.

Experiencing a different culture, especially one as rich and diverse as China, can be a profoundly eye-opening and enriching experience. The students' immersion in Chinese traditions, dance forms, and cultural practices undoubtedly broadened their horizons, expanded their understanding of dance, and nurtured their appreciation for the arts.

Your blog post beautifully described the students' encounters with renowned dance institutions, esteemed teachers, and fellow dancers in China. The opportunity to learn from and collaborate with artists from a different cultural background offers a unique perspective and an invaluable learning experience. It fosters cross-cultural exchange, promotes diversity, and enhances the students' artistic development in ways that go beyond technical training.

The students' journey in China not only allowed them to refine their dance techniques but also offered them a glimpse into the broader cultural landscape of the country. The exposure to traditional Chinese arts, architecture, music, and cuisine undoubtedly enhanced their understanding of the interconnectedness between culture, history, and dance.

I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the students for their dedication, hard work, and open-mindedness throughout this incredible journey. Their willingness to embrace new experiences, step outside their comfort zones, and immerse themselves in a different cultural context is a testament to their passion for dance and their commitment to personal growth.

Moreover, I commend The Art of Classical Ballet for providing such transformative opportunities for young dancers. Your commitment to offering holistic training experiences and exposing students to different cultures and dance forms is truly commendable. By nurturing their artistic and personal development, you are shaping the future of dance and empowering these young individuals to become well-rounded artists.

Thank you for sharing this inspiring story through your blog. It serves as a reminder of the profound impact that cultural exchange and immersive experiences can have on dancers, fostering their growth as artists and broadening their perspectives on the world.
